Paul tells us in Romans 5:19 "For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous." This simple verse speaks volumes about God's infinite love for each one of us and about Jesus' perfect obedience to the will of his Father. Just imagine...God gave his Son on a cross, the ultimate sacrifice of atonement for our sins. Jesus Christ prayed and knowing God's perfect will for each of us, was perfectly obedient to his Father, an act of indescribable selflessness for which all words fail in reporting.
As the sayings go, 'Words are cheap' and 'actions speak louder than words'! God acted in love and Jesus acted in loving obedience, in order to give us eternal access with him to his Father's house in Heaven. All we need is to accept Jesus' gift of Salvation. Let us seek to be obedient to God's leading each day until Jesus returns. We won't always get it right, but God will help us in our efforts to be obedient.
