I believe the parable of "The Great Banquet",as told in Luke 14:15-24, illustrates how we are all invited to love God and to fellowship with Him. For various reasons, we choose to do other things, which are more important to us at this time. Verse 24 says: "I tell you not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet."We will later regret our choices to reject God's invitation, based upon our own misguided priorities.
I am reminded of Psalm 103:15-16..."As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more." God wants us to spend eternity with Him. Eternity starts today.
