"Revere God..."

We read in Ecclesiastes 3:11-14, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his toil - this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing can be taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him." It is believed that Solomon wrote these words perhaps as long as 900-1000 b.c.

I think that it is worth noting that Solomon, who also described man's toiling as 'meaningless' and 'chasing after the wind', while trying to discover the true meaning of life, ultimately realized that all God really wants is for us to revere him and to be in relationship with him alone. Praise God!
