In Hebrews 2:18, we read "Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted." Jesus was tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1 tells us "Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil..." Jesus Christ set an example for us in life and in death as believers. He overcame temptation in life and he died as a sacrifice for our sins in perfect obedience to the will of his Father.
Let us pray daily to God for his leading and for the courage to be obedient. Jesus Christ is our only help and our only need.
