In Job 34:14,15, we read "If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath, all mankind would perish together and man would return to the dust." Job 36:27,28 "He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind."
Elihu speaks wisdom to Job and his friends. The distilled raindrops are just one of God's many miraculous blessings, which keep man from perishing. If rain were salt water, nothing would grow and all creation as we know it would die. Thank God for His countless blessings, which sustain our lives and our environment.
